Hiya My advice would be get someone else to remove the bearing race from the steering stem, and put the new one on. I took mine to my local dealer who charged £15 which I thought was O.K. because I could not budge the old one and got really paranoid about Knackering the stem. Apart from that, the o...

braided hoses for a blade front end.

Has anyone got any experience of fitting braided hoses to a storm with a fireblade front end? I want to go for a 2-line setup, but don't know if I need a blade kit or a storm kit. I was thinking a blade kit for length of lines, but I am not sure as to wether the fittimgs at the top end from a blade ...

Roger recommends 0.85mm/kg ohlins springs.
He also suggests re-valving as springs alone will solve some problems but create others.
He did say that standard blade forks were better than standard storm ones, but not as good as his modded storm ones.
Cheers

Fireblade fork springs

G'day
I have fitted '98 blade forks to my storm. Can anyone recommend which spings to upgrade to. Ohlins, racetech etc, and where to get them.
Does it really make that much difference anyway?
I am doing a trackday at cadwell in march, so I want to get it sorted for then.
Cheers.

carbon fibre mudguard

G'day I need a carbon fibre T595 mudguard for my new fireblade front end. Can anyone recommend where to buy it from. I have spoken to ART, Skidmarx and QB carbon, and they are all roughly the same price. It is not easy to tell which look good fron a photo on their websites. Any reccomendations would...

Oops.
Forgot to say that performance wise, it pulls much better in the midrange/top end than with standard cans and my bike has not been re-jetted, and has the standard filter on it.

Ben you are a Gent! Went back to the breakers where I brought the front and and he gave me half a dozen blade spacers to try, but he did not know which ones were which. Some are bigger, some are smaller, but I dont want to try them randomly and get the wheel out of alignment. The other option I gues...
