The exact same thing happened to mine.
I set the timing correctly myself and it's been fine :)

Casings are usually a magnesium alloy and don't weld too well.
This seems more like brazing so it might work but could go either way.

I have mine off at the min.

It's M8, has a domed head with a 6mm hex recess for the allen key.
The whole bolt is 37.5mm long including the head and the treaded shank is 31.5mm long.
Its a 12mm nut and the washer is 24mm diameter.

(New digital verniers for xmas) :)

They stand up to mileage no problem if looked after, the only major problem with the engine is the weak Chain Chain Tensioner (CCT) so you need to check when the were last changed otherwise budget say £100 to get them changed (DIY). I am suprised you can not find a low mileage example for your budg...

Same happened to me when garage did the head and put the timing 180 degrees out.
I put it right myself, I took the cam bearing caps off and just tilted one of the cam shafts. It's a pain to re-align but worked ok for me.
Don't drop the cam chain into the crankcase :)

Rear Wheel Adjuster

Hi all,

Does anyone happen to have an EPC and can give me the part number for the adjusting bolt that goes into the end of the swing arm:

Mine decided it would round off.

Cheers,
