R/R modification

I have just carried out the R/R modification but have a couple of questions for anybody in the know. 1. I didn't cut off the original connector but simply made up 5no 3" lengths of cable, with a male and female connector at each end, which I've used to plug into the end of the original loom con...

Electrical gremlins??

Riding along today and the rev counter stopped working, then the trip meter then the speedo. About maybe 2 mins later the bike cut out-completely dead (bit dangerous as I was in fast lane of M25 at the time!) Connected up the jump leads to kind passerby and she fires up again straight away and every...

Multimeter and hex keys for me. Got them both for well under a tenner, what a result, even if I have never (and probably will never) use the multimeter, but looks good in me toolbox

Have not long had my VTR which has the most confidence inspiring front end i've had. on a bike. Turns out that it has one of those packers under the rear spring to jack it up and put more weight at the front for better turn in. Might be worth a try, its only 4mm thick, easy to fit (apparently!) and ...

She won't restart

After numerous problems fitting a set of fairing indicators to the front of my bike, it now fails to start after a run up to normal temperature. By that i mean that when I hit the start button......absolutley nothing. No clicks, nothing. Checked the connectors on the starter relay which were a littl...

Front Indicators

I have spent the best part of the last 2 weeks (i'm embarrassed to admit) trying to fit some 'bikeit' fairing indicators to the front of my VTR and have had an absolute nightmare, blowing numerous fuses not to mention my Meta alarm/immobiliser. The place where I got them from suggested that I replac...
