To be fair, my bike has still the original clutch after 28k miles, so the slippage might be a combination of oil + worn clutch. I'll see how it goes after the next oil change. Talking of which, where do you Mobil 1 in bulk? I managed to get Castrol R4 last year when I was racing, but they would supp...

I put fully synth (Castrol R4) by mistake as I bought the wrong oil. The gearbox improved significantly, and the clutch starts slipping only in London's rush hour (basically when the temperature gauge gets well over the middle). Apart from that I've had no problems. The bike has over 28k miles and I...

Fireblade '98-'00 forks use different yokes (less offset and legs are wider apart - fnarr! fnarr!) which means you have to add new discs to list of parts to change (Blackbird discs can be used instead of the '98 Fireblade's, if necessary). If you change the discs, it's not necessary to change calipe...

The Fireblade forn conversion is based on the pre-'98 forks, which are not USD.

As the airbox is not sealed (i.e. no ram air) it could have minimal effects. However I think the engine will still run lean.

I had a short stint (3 months) on a '99 CBR600 last year, but I kept my VTR because I prefer it for road use. There's obviously a lack of grunt in comparison to the VTR, which made quite hectic for me to ride at my usual pace. The VTR is heavier and, being taller, it feels so at low speed. In terms ...

I think that a 170/ rear could be too narrow for the rim. If you want to quicken the steering by working on the tyres, I suggest you try Dunlops as they usually have a mroe triangular profile.

If that's not enough, you can put a spacer under the rear shock mounting and/or drop the yokes by 5mm.

A full setup package (.exe) containing the Win9x/WinNT Microsoft System Installer installer will be made available again soon. The previously released installer packages for 2.0.40 were broken.

What I don't understand is why other sites that use the same software (Bemsee and NG Road Racing) work just fine. Re. the perl problems - yeah, "malformed headers". After installing Indigo (old Apache 1.2 + perl) I finally got a chance to look at the logs. Incidentally, looking at the logs...
