Re: Ongoing Fueling issues

Were you running it with one of the triangular sealing boxes missing?
That will certainly affect it, as the carb opening is determined by the difference in pressure either side of the diaphragm.

Re: 1997 VTR EFI conversion and other tinkering (yaay, it runs)

And this is because couldn't be bothered to find a better solution, just made a 30mm long spacer that goes between the bracket & fairing, put a tyrip around the front mounting point and wedged the reservoir in there. Worst part is that it actually doesn't look half bad and fits pretty well... http:...

Re: SP 2 thoughts and opinions

On the right roads (fast sweepers, smooth grippy corners) they are a thing of wonder and beauty. I ran one as my daily ride and only bike for four years. However they can feel hard work on roads with a poor surface, even when the suspension has been sorted out. I found it comfortable, but tried thre...

Re: VTR Down Under

The more tuning you do, the smaller the mains need to be- which seems counterintuitive. I ended up with sizes in the 160's..... Ideally it needs setting up on a dyno, an alternative is to fit wideband lambda sensors in each downpipe with a display, which is what I did. Another possibility is to fit ...

Re: Do mccts leak?

It's not unusual, but an easy fix. Just wind the bolt out no more than two full turns, then apply silicon sealer to the threads. Then wind the bolt back in to exactly the same place.

Covid grammar lesson:

Past, tents was fine
Current: tents are not permitted
Future- tents will be allowed.

The excitement is in tents.

But thanks for the thought!
