The SP tank extends down into the rear subframe, so you'd have to repackage a lot of the storm electrics and battery at the very least.
You could cut and re-weld it, but then, you could do that with almost any tank.

Re: Auto CCT from other bike

All automatic cct's work well, until they don't. With almost all other engine designs, failure just means it rattles until it's replaced.

That's not the case with Storm engine designs, which can introduce the piston to the valves.

Sorry I couldn't resist

Chris.

PS. "Brakes" :eh:
It was deliberate, Chris.
In the ad they spell "braking" as "breaking", so I was getting even.

It brakes my heart to see this; I've only recently been able to stop shouting at the ads when I see the way they spell "battlax"...

Re: The RD400 drag bike

You'll just have to jet it the old-fashioned way, start rich and gradually get leaner as the engine feels keener, with plug chops after each run.

Two-strokes... Twice the power strokes, half the time between rebuilds.
Looks like you're doing a good job👍

Storm owner in Biggin Hill pub Sat 23rd March 24

I passed the Black Horse earlier in the week, and saw a sign: Bikers welcome Sat lunchtime.
I dropped in and met a few riders- one of the has a later Storm. I forgot to ask his forum username.
Was it you?

Anyone free to meet up at Ryka's, Box Hill tomorrow, Weds?

It looks to be the last dry day this week, so I'll head there tomorrow lunchtime. Anyone else free at short notice?

Re: VTR 1000 Good for the last hurrah?

as far as my aching joints are concerned, the storm is not the ideal bike for us elderly gentlemen, unless youre reasonably supple. which i'm not. however, i'm refusing to get rid of mine and trying to modify it to be more comfortable to ride. usual mods are flat bars and dropped pegs, but my probl...

Better two than none.
If there was room for two, is the gudgeon pin shorter than it should be- is one just a spacer?
