Re: `Storm or SP ?

Encee just to add my twopenneth I had a 2000 Storm and a 2006 SP2, the SP is really only happy when your out for a summer blast and wringing its neck, it will easily stay with most sports bikes on the road (maybee on a long straight they might gap you I suppose) I really enjoyed my time as an SP own...

Dont laugh....moment of madness!

After losing my marbles and not even considering how the hell I am going to pay for it I have put a deposit down on a triple black 1200 GS http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5100/5414917049_76faf04d7a_z.jpg The test ride on the 2012 bike sealed it, lot more grunt than the previous model. Fell in love an...

Re: Off to Wheelie School tomorrow!!!

Nice one Geo, I am not allowed to take the Gixxer to the school as it has to have a standard can (rules is rules) I also dont clutch up with the Suzy as on the power in first is sooooo easy its a waste of time. The VFR will also come up nicely off the power but I still havent nailed the changing ger...

Re: Ola in need of assistance with investing in a SP1

Hi mate, Pretty safe with an SP1, no major gotchas. Some may have had some track time but look out for the usual signs of abuse. Extremely well made and will out last most Jap equivolents. Biggest downside is whether or not you will gel with the bike, its definately a marmite machine. They are only ...

Re: show of hands

Had one, then an SP2. Both great bikes but for me the GSXR1000 K5/K6 is the best bike I have owned to date bar none. Would I have another Storm ?.........possibly, because its a great bike for peanuts and gives you the SP soundtrack. Would I have another SP.........no, I would of liked to have kept...

Re: Scary "moments" on a motorcycle What was your last one?

Couple of weeks ago passing an oncoming line of traffic when a Lotus Elise decides to overtake them :eek2 I was ready for some reason (no idea why) so stuck it in the dirt next to the hedge and passed him with a 100mph closing speed  All I can say is no matter what training you have had, ...

Re: storm to fighter!

Some beauties there mate but for me its either classic OEM, Uprated classic (a la Norton 961) or useable uprated modern ( yours). As gilson said single sided forks :eek2 and welded chain handlebars are certainly not my bag. Give me an RD350 with USD forks and brembos :cool2

Almost, it was the new 1300 pan that got ditched by the feds coz they handled like sh1t with the weight of all the plod gear onboard.
Yep that was the ST1300, the miltary loved the ST1100. No probs at all.
