Hi Benny,
I reckon this is the problem with my clutch as well because the action in the master cylinder is not smooth and I think this pushrod looks bent to me. Can you get it as a seperate Honda part do you know ?.
regards
Mark

Re: Clutch Query
Hi Benny, Well, that's no strictly true on my part because my 1st engine expired at 60K (as Tony will know because he has it), but I changed the plates on that one at 50K to heavier duty ones prior to taking the VTR to Jerez on a three day track day jaunt , but they were in good nick and as Tony wil...

Re: Front end judder when braking
Hi AMcQ, I'm running a new brake set up that is CBR600R 2004 calipers, SP1 Master Cylinder, EBC HH pads and HEL lines and can report no juddering noted, even under heavy braking, so I'm not sure if the problem lines with the disc area or somewhere else. My bike has standard discs and I have had the ...

Re: Clutch Query
Hi Tony, As usual (it must be boring for you), you're right in that the piston pushed out when I removed the clutch cover to clean round the gearbox sprocket area and re-route a new sidestand cut out switch (old one was playing up) and I realised this introduced alot of air into the system, but reck...

Re: Clutch Query
Hi Pete Thanks for that tip, I'll try that, I presume by cracking open the joint you mean slackening off the banjo nut so fluid is released ?. Friction basket / internal clutch is all in good nick, so I think the problem is either master cylinder or slave cylinder related, if I can't bleed it out th...

Clutch Query
Hi Lads, My pick up point on the clutch is really late in the lever travel and there's no adjustment left on the lever. i.e if I adjust the position of the lever, it get's even later. In the past I've noted this is due to air in the system and bled it through and it's been fine, but this time it doe...

Re: Running Rough...
Hi, I'd definitely suggest checking the breather and fuel pipe fitments to make sure they are firstly, connected properly and secondly, that none of the breathers is blocked. I'd also check the air filter while you have the tank off to make sure this hasn't been over-oiled or possibly never cleaned ...

Re: Running Rough...
Hi Mate, Couple of questions - Have you had the fuel tank off lately ? If so, it's easy to fit one of the tubes to the fuel tap to the wrong location and this gives the symptoms you have described. Have you got an after-market air filter (K&N for example) fitted which you have cleaned and re-oil...

Re: Gearing Speedo corrector query and brake mod feedback
Hi Mate,
Yeah they're pretty crap as standard.
AMQ's chart is on page 3 of the Workshop forum, about halfway down and I used this as my guide to a good combination of master cylinder and caliper.
Best of luck.

Gearing Speedo corrector query and brake mod feedback
Hi All, Took forum advice and fitted 43 tooth rear Renthal, very nice mod, makes the bike feel well perky, though I keep looking for 7th and amazingly it's added 10 - 15mph to all my best corner speeds, arf, arf...ok seriously now, the speedo obviously over-reads by 10 -15%, does everyone just live ...

Re: LIST OF NAMES FOR OPERATION STORM 2010 ride out
Hi Lads,
Just caught up with this thread and count me in as I only live up the road in Market Harborough.
BTW, I know some lovely local roads round here, where Bike and Performance Bike do their test rides if anyone fancies a run out over the weekend ?.

Re: Hitting the ground running...learning VTRs personality
Hi All, Just as an aside, I did my R/R over the weekend, wasn't going to bother as my bike had the newer finned VTR R/R. Popped the block connector off just for a look to find one of the spades burnt in the block and black melted material on the R/R contact, so the newer VTR R/R's ain't immune to co...

Thanks chap, but the image didn't show until I'd registered on the Superhawks forum, now I can see the pic and the machining.
Ta for that.
