I've not heard of any Firestorms giving bottom end troubles :!: I don't suppose it's got anything to do with you being in too high a gear when going down that steep hill if you're holding back using the brakes :?: That could cause the engine to give a knocking sound. Chris. No mate it still knocks ...

Well from 50 mph through the rev range I can imagine that at the top of second you would be doing around 70.
That's pretty fast on one wheel.

Just a thought....what kind of speed are you doing at 5000 revs in second?
I cant see a storm being able to clutch up in third with only 100 or so horse power.
Yes she comes up sweet in second but in third I can only get a bar wobble

So from what I can gather the risers are OK if you pay little for them but don't pay a lot because the little they do is not worth the cash ?

thanks guys you have just saved me £36 just for asking on here :D :D .
I'm going to go with the £26 ch tensioners and the oil filter at £7.25.
I was just wondering why would Honda main dealers recommend a semi synthetic oil for the storm instead on fully synthetic ?
Anyway thanks again :D .

FirestormMike wrote:Tosh, try and get hold of VTRBob, (morgan on hull and yorks site) he's got renthals on his and apart from looking good, he says they are very comfy, and used angled risers which avoided cutting the fairing. You might catch him at seaways on a Sunday morning.
As always your a diamond, cheers mate.

Bar Risers

I have read with some interest that some of you use bar risers on your VTR's. I am contemplating the idea but would any one recommend them ,,, do they work and are they worth the price??
