Re: Found - missing member!

Got to agree with you there, Tim. Worst mistake I ever made (but most sensible at the time) was flogging that X11 of mine. Absolutely awesome bike, massively underrated. The only reason Honda stopped making them was because they weren't prepared to cut corners or quality to get the price down and co...

Found - missing member!

I'm back people! bloody website! I've been unable to get onto the forum for months - the old link didn't work and wouldn't redirect! However, coming in through vtr1000.co.uk seems to work. Hurrah! Right, I bumped into Timbo last week up at the bridge (then again on the way home). Just to put things ...

Cheers chaps, it's just a bit weird - kinda to close to home for comfort. I'll not be packing biking in or anything like that, but the repercussions kinda make you realise what would happen if it was me who didn't come home. Think i'll be addressing my riding style....not quite ready for a Varadero ...

Bad news.....

sorry for the extended absence, still in fallout from honeymoon (catching up with work etc, not divorce!) Anyway, i'm not certain if any of you chaps are from Sheffield/Doncaster/Rotherham way, but I thought i'd let you know. My cousin Andy was killed on his ZX6R on the A631 (?) heading towards Bawt...

Cheers fellas! Well! Thats me, off to bed as as single bloke for the last time! Weather looks uber pants, but I'm actually quite looking forward to tomorrow now! :D Then, when I get back from Inverness, I can have all winter to clean my bike without a single organza ribbon (don't ask!) to tie! :D I'...

Joy of joys it gets better. butt ended another car on the way into work today. Just waiting for the fella to get an independent quote before going through the insurance. My front bumper is hanging off and theres barely a mark on his car - literally one tiny scratch which would probably t-cut out, bu...

Could be a live touching to earth? Check the wiring around the subframe, that could be the source, especially if the new loom came from a bike with an alarm patched into the wiring. Any dubious reconnections should be checked and make sure theres no bare wire anywhere!

Depression setting in.....

I've not ridden the Storm since the ride out. sh1t is piling up in the garage around her...theres flies on the front (not mouldy yet, but its only a matter of time)...the tax has expired...and I know the chain still needs attention. The meetup feels like a distant memory - and I had to cut that shor...

Alright chaps, Sorry I've been absent, wedding prep is taking ALL my time at the moment. The storm is still in the garage, hasn't turned a wheel since the meetup! Anyway.... just had my renewal letter through from Swinton Bikes - £250 tpft, £20 more than last year! I ALWAYS use these figures as a ...

Count me in! I'd be well up for a Scotland meet! I've been quietly posting it on other threads, clearly my subliminal messages have gotten through! Came down from Dumfries in the car today (had a wedding yesterday). I was going to slip up to the Hartside Inn when we passed Penrith, but the tops look...
