Don't do it! They can (at speed of course) cause rapid air loss because of the additional weight on the valve. Same as leaving the 90 degree valve extensions on.
Just carry a pen gauge or similar.

What made you think that...

Customer came in other week and asked for touch up paint for his lid...

Obvious question, "what have you done?"

Not so obvious reply, "I was told my lining was machine washable so I put the whole lid in the machine"

Must have been the fast spin!

Come to think of it, reminds me of a time I went to the cinema. Chap asks to see my ticket, Q23 or something, He points in the general direction and says "It's just over there, just past... just past..." At which point I had to stop his embarrasment; "It's just past P mate!" Or m...

You are a lucky one. That end bit comes off a hornet and makes carb balancing a lot easier. Do you also have the t-piece on the rear cylinder?

The mod is easy to do and saves about half an hour each time!

So, it is factory, just not destined for that model!

Pretty good all rounders. Will never keep up with the crf's (phoar!) but longer lived. Ie don't have to do the top end every 15 hours! Regular oil changes and stick to the service schedule and you can't go wrong. Prices dropped a lot since Honda stopped making them. All stock gone now! 'Phone around...

Get back in touch with Pyramid and ask them for an NWS version. They have the moulds for these and produce them separately to their own brand. NWS fits and works!
