Re: VTR with USD forks....

I fitted the USD, TL1000 forks ,used a Ducati front wheel & discs, GSXR1100sling shot Nissan 4 pot calipers.
And GSXR1000 K1 fairing, the bike was accident damaged so used the parts I could get a deal on, or had in my parts stash.

VTR with USD forks....

Having owned this bike for some time, I've now insured it & running about on it. I've fitted USD forks & have opened up the stock silencers, made my own cam chain adjusters, not the fastest of bikes but very nice to ride, rock solid, handles & brakes very nicely! It would be interesting ...

You can use another cap, use engineers blue & use a half round scraper.

Re: Regulator from a 250 Superdream work?

Ok thanks for that, I have read that the later VTR jobbies with the fins are a lot better ( same as the one fitted)
Are these finned one's as bad?

Regulator from a 250 Superdream work?

I'm off to france soon, my VTR has the stock finned reg'. I've used heat sink silicon & a ali' plate between the reg' & frame mount.Thinking of taking a spare, I do in fact have several reg's from various early bikes> Would the Superdream item work? thanks

Re: what is this noise?

Ok, as in the big nut is loose, or is the basket & plates worn out?, is the clutch a weak part on these?
Thanks for your input, it'll save me some time which right now, I have very little spare!

what is this noise?

My storm when riding it makes this rattle at all RPM, when you pull in the clutch it stops.
It only does it on the move.
Carn't see any thing loose, is the any part in the motor that is known to come loose & make this kind of rattle?
( it runs very smooth & pulls well )

Re: France run, VTR or GSXR1000K6?

it'll be a solo trip, & the bike was purchased as a project- it was very damaged, the engine is untouched the only thing to worry about is the fancy fuel injection ( i like things simple, like carbies). The idea of a very fast ride down to the med', sounds good, however i've seen the results of ...
