Re: Jamie's Storm up for sale...

Hi Jamie. It’s my brother who’s bought it, after I pinged him about it while he was viewing another one!

He’s really stoked about it, as he should be. It’s a fantastic looking bike, with some tasty mods. I’ve just got to see if I can pinch the six spokes for mine! 😂

Fuel screw idle drop test

For no reason other than I can't leave well alone, I decided today to check/adjust my fuel screw settings, using the excellent guide on this forum. Armed with a bevel drive 90° screwdriver, bike warmed up, and the aforementioned instructions, I set the idle to around 1800rpm and began the idle drop ...

25th Anniversary Logo Branded Items for Sale

I have re-uploaded the anniversary logo to Redbubble, having removed the small Honda logo, so you can get either the Firestorm or Superhawk version on a variety of products. NOTE: some gits have already ripped off my logo and are selling copies! My seller name is 'chromedome-CDD'. Here are the links...

Valve clearances

As I had to replace my reduction/transfer gear, I took the opportunity to check and, if required, adjust my valve clearances. This is the first time I've delved this far into a 4-stroke engine, so proceeding very cautiously. My valve clearances are as follows: FRONT VALVES Right Intake: 0.14 Left In...

Front wheel and disk alignment

Having serviced the new 954 callipers, I went to reassemble the front end, but found that the right-hand disk was way off centre in the calliper (towards the outside, with barely any clearance), as well as quite close to the fork leg. I refitted the original calliper, but that was the same. I made s...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Fitted a 'new' starter motor. Having noticed my 'Storm was struggling to start, despite a new MOSFET R/R and a healthy battery, I took a peek under the rubber boot of the starter motor - oh dear! Thanks to the very helpful thread on this forum, I ordered a Blackbird starter from ebay for under £40 d...

Out for a blast on my yellow Storm, and saw a red/black SP two up. Hope you had better luck with the traffic than us!

PAIR Emissions System?

My neighbour and I went for a blast on our Firestorms today; mine is an R reg and his is the later model on a Y plate. Looking at the bikes together, I noticed his has something coming off the airbox, located above the coolant reservoir, that mine doesn't have. Looking the manual I am pretty sure th...

You are correct, and I was wrong. It's the relay. Doh! I guess that means I've made a successful upgrade!
