The light was not the fuel warning. It was actually on the temp gauge. The red section near the hot end of the scale.
The reason it was on (and stayed on) is because I switched my headlights on. Doh!!!!!!!!!! never mind at least I know now.

When stopped at lights the other day ( for ages) the temperature gauge slowly went up. At about half way the light came. Didn't notice the fan come on though I wasn't really listening for it. Anyway once moving again the gauge dropped back down to normal but the light stayed on until I got home and ...

I took a disc to a guy in Banks which is north of Southport.
He was advertised in MCN.
Don't know if he's still there - this was about 5 years ago.
