What i normally do is get a file, file the top and bottom of the broken stud to make it square and then get a spanner on it, its worked for me about 5 or 6 times because the pressure from the exhaust bracket has been released. Plus put a small amount of heat on it or start the bike up. Hope this helps

Hi, i would still give the carbs a good clean, they would have dried out over 5 months, it still sounds like a vacuum hose problem?

Just check you put the vacuum hose to the rear of the tap, when you put the tank back on the bike! :thumbup:

Hi, i think i have solved the problem, i changed the regulator but it was still smoking so i changed the generator which seemed to solve it. In the process i managed to tip over 4 litres of oil as i pulled the bike off the paddock stand and the side stand came down on the oil tray.........out came t...

smoke coming from alternator connector

Hi, i was going to change the oil, took the seat off and had the bike warming up, as i looked back at the alternator wiring connector and there was smoke coming out of it. I checked the regulator and that was at 5000 revs, it was charging just under 14, so i dont think that its the regulator. Any id...
