Hi, you can also try a cbr600fx/y front end, you may have to change the bearings but you can still keep your clipons on top of your yokes, plus the fork are 2mm bigger [43mm] and also have comression damping.

Re: are sp calipers the same as blades?
Hi, if you are going to fit them to firestorm forks you need to file them slightly to fit.

Re: hot/cold exhausts
Hi, compression test, just remember to open the throttle fully when you crank the engine over, and to still earth the spark plugs. ![Thumbup ](./images/smilies/icon_thumbup.gif)

Re: Bloody engine bolt
Well, i can get some scaffolding and make a lifting frame, but i only have one block and tackle and will probably need two, one on each wheel or front and rear of the frame, so you can turn it easier, i also have loads of stropes. Its possible.

Re: Bloody engine bolt
Hi Tony, give me a shout if you need a hand as i have one to do too, and it would be handy not to have to take the engine out.

Re: have i cocked up!!!
Yes they fit. You may have to change the bearings from roller to tappered bearings and also the clipons as previously mentioned as they fit under the top yoke. I have done this a couple of times. Hope this helps you.
