Chris, given that any standard brown wire on the storm should have a black tracer on it (not solid brown), I think you may be onto something.

When i checked the KTM valve clearances all 4 exhaust valves were pretty tight on the 0.25mm feeler gauge, which is bottom spec, and I had told myself that it would be fine till next service and was going to to build it back up when the 4 spark plugs arrived. As for how many storms….. they get less and less each year….. if I am in my camper van, I will have my storm, but if I decide to ride there from home it will be on the KTM
