Re: wire colour identification

Chris, given that any standard brown wire on the storm should have a black tracer on it (not solid brown), I think you may be onto something.

Sean, it will be interesting to see what you find when you take the cover off

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

When i checked the KTM valve clearances all 4 exhaust valves were pretty tight on the 0.25mm feeler gauge, which is bottom spec, and I had told myself that it would be fine till next service and was going to to build it back up when the 4 spark plugs arrived. Bad move having too much thinking time!...

Lates notes from Kermitlefrog “I've just been down to the Travelodge. It's a 20 minute walk uphill to my place (downhill when you are pissed!). It's lovely. Brand new, been open a couple of months. Café, bar and restaurant Easy walk into town and plenty of cabs if you are lazy. Cheapest if you book ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Shims for the front exhaust valves both need the same size so it’s lucky I didn’t just by a generic box of single shims. Unfortunately they are not in stock at the dealer so a 5day order from ktm, so I put the old ones back in, fitted cams and cam bridge, then refitted and reset the cct so I could s...

Re: 9 /10 / 11 Aug. Op Storm Northumberland

The A686 runs SW from Haydon Bridge down through Alston then over the famous Hartside pass. Only a brief stop here the look at the view over Cumbria because the run down to Melmerby is something special and the cafe/bakery at Melmerby is tops. One option then is to run North on B roads to Brampton a...

Re: 9 /10 / 11 Aug. Op Storm Northumberland

Kermit has routes in mind, he is local.

As for how many storms….. they get less and less each year….. if I am in my camper van, I will have my storm, but if I decide to ride there from home it will be on the KTM
