I just found out my BT sport subscription also now includes Discovery + (who have bought BT sport) and that means I have access to all the Eurosport channels for Superbikes and cycling for no extra cost.

Oops…..that’s the ignition trigger, Don’t keep pulling, the wires will break! It has a connector in the V near the choke knob, so you should disconnect there

Oh no…. If you have not done the devils beef tub road down to Moffat, you are going to have to come down that way as its just the starter for the properly great roads like the Dalveen Pass, Saint Marys Loch and the logging road from Sibbaldbie to eskdalemuir.

Take the rear wheel out to reduce the weight on the swing arm, and use the wheel spindle to push the swing arm bolt out from the gear side, they are the same diameter and it will stop it all falling apart when you take off the brake side foot rest assy. Good work on rebuilding the starter motor, did yo make sure to insulate the new +be post? On the other questions. Putting a little oil in the bores is just because it has been sat for too long without running, so getting a bit of lubrication onto the piston & rings will help free things up and m...

As Tony says, make sure it will turn over (anti clockwise as you look at the alternator cover), then at least you know it’s not a complete basket case. There is an o-ring on the nose of the starter that makes it oil tight, but you shouldn’t get much of an oil spill when you take the starter out as it is above the static oil level.
