Re: Battery/charging issues

RESULT!!!!!
All lights are on. Bike starts. Correct charge going to battery. And I now am aware that theres a main fuse not in the fuse box. All in all a productive couple of hours!
I might upgrade now to a YTX14 battery now cos the old one wasnt holding too well.
Thanks for your help Tony

Re: maxxis

I'm on my 3rd set of supermaxx now and have no grumbles whatsoever. Switched to them from BT020's and can't tell any difference. I do a minimum of 50 a miles a day and up to 120 miles. It's my only form of transport, 'part from the train! I don't plan using anything else until they realise their ...

Re: Battery/charging issues

Mine was a similar panic regards the plod. I live in Canterbuy, Kent and had just pulled off the M2 when she died. Whilst I was at the side of the slip road a police car came along but fortunately it was a military one! I've got to take the risk of using it as I'm on a training program in Swanley fo ...

Battery/charging issues

Was on my way home from work yesterday and the 'storm cut out at the lights. Pushed the starter button straight away to restart and the battery was dead. Started from a bump on a very conveniantly placed slope! Bike then behaved. Today I've put the meter across the terminals and theres about 19.5v ...

Re: Brake Caliper Piston Seals

Cheers Phil and thanks for the welcome. Is there any way of finding out what size seals I need other than measuring the pistons. I need to keep the bike on the road until I get the callipers off. Its my only transport.

Brake Caliper Piston Seals

Hi, Can anyone help? I have to strip down my front calipers and replace the seals. I've browsed the net to find a good place to buy the kit and am confused now as there are two sizes offered. They are 27 or 30mm. My 'storm is a '97 model and both kits are offered for the same year model. Was there ...
