Sold the Storm...

Well after having two different Storms over the last 5 years i finally said goodbye last week. :(
Miss her, but i have a different bird now...

Exhaust Gasket?

Yes that hidden link behind the swingarm from the rear header.
Wheres the best place to get a replacement gasket, believe it looks like a silver wire type gasket?
Or is there a better fix?

Yup the copper grease is just a smudge to protect it from the elements until i get a rubber boot. I will have to have a look at the rubber boots for the banjo connections, cheers. Thanks for the reply Tony. Well the starter motor terminal wasn't in good shape, so off it come! Stripped it apart and cleaned it up and checked that all was well. Fitted all back together with a new bolt and a few nuts, insulating washers were in good shape so re-used them. Fitted back to the bike,...

Yes, fitted replacement R/R and tried one other. When the bike runs, it charges fine. Battery is fully charged and wont even turn over with a booster. The strange thing is the voltage drop dramitically when the button is pressed. Take your finger off the button and the voltage returns to normal. Jus...

Well after it behaving itself for the last few days on the bike, i thought all was well as i couldnt find anything wrong. Got a mile away from my home and the bike died! Tried starting but all i got was a good click from the starter relay. Walked home, got another battery, booster and test meter... ...

Never had this problem before as well and im always in heavy rain at times.
Think it was just purely down to the drifting snow which collected in the front.

Thought about the starter idle gear as i can bump and start her on a steep hill but when i add a boost starter to the battery she fires up with no problems.
