Fuel mixture.

You guys should alter your mixture by putting in new main jets.
If they get that hot, the exhaust fumes are way to hot, and that usually depend on a way to lean mixture.

What´s that "sneezing" sound coming from airbox/ca

It sounds like the bike´s backfiring through the carbs?
Or what is it?
Mostly happens when on low RPM and bike cold.
Anyone have a clue how to cure this?

Check the vakuum hose to your fuel tap. If that´s not the problem: Check your needle jet, your main jet, your main jet holder for something that shouldn´t be there. Also check your fuel lines to the carbs, the white things that float in the float chambers (what the heck are they called?) make sure ...

Wait, you can´t be done already, I just scanned pictures from my Repair handbook to be able to explain better!

Dogs baldrocks, I learned from "51st state" that it´s the opposite of "baldrocks" and means GOOD right?

Have a nice ride!

I tried to explain, there are TWO pipes that it is possible to attach the vacuum hose to.

One has a "one way valve" and the other doesn´t.

Go have a look.
The one that it SHOULD be connected to points the same way as the fuel line for the front carburetor.

GOGOGO!

Isn´t that Gotham?

"Göteborg" is the Swedish spelling, anyway.

Let´s see...
Roughly 2200 Km, means about 10-11 tank stops. unless you do 180 kph the entire time.

I drove 1100 km from Germany two weeks ago, I stopped for fuel about 6 times...

Puts the smile back where it belongs.. on your face! I got mine sorted the other day, but I haven´t really missed anyth ...

Can you remember if you connected it to the one going down?

It only took me 10 hours and 5 complete disassemblies of the carbs to figure that one out... Just to comfort you..

Hi. All of the above was meant for RQ. I meant that it was weird that my bike ran on the front cylinder when I had had the exact same problem as RQ. If the rear carburetor doesn´t get any fuel, why does the front get enough to run? Maybe because the fuel has an easier path to run to the front carb o ...

RQ´s problem is that he connected the vakuum hose to the wrong place on the fuel-tap. He connected it to the one going straight down, vertically... Right? When he should have connected it to the little pipe that goes parallell to the fuel-line to the front carb. Been there, done that... The one t ...
