Re: Racing VTR? Any inside info?

let's continue amusement :) by some more photos. This I found on many sources, but here is from UK site and as I understood it is website of actual/past owner? If anyone on forum owns this...wow. This appears to be Stage 3 endurance racer one of 2 genuine - I assume built by Roger, one you explained...

Re: Racing VTR? Any inside info?

thak you! I will try to email Roger... Well, Rumi VTR built for supertwins races, indeed it is not factory stage 3. I just like it :) Blue one....that still puzzles me. It is not stage 2 for sure. But also it is not endurance racer known in UK by looks of it. See - it does have different than standa...

Re: Racing VTR? Any inside info?

I was sure those photos were old news...but since you ask Some more of Moriwaki VTR. If only they had camera a bit to the side I would see how those pads are mounted :sad2 http://folk.uio.no/joakimt/vtr/sprocket.jpg http://folk.uio.no/joakimt/vtr/swingarm.jpg Next is Rumi Racing VTR. This one have a...

Racing VTR? Any inside info?

Colleagues,
Has anyone got any idea how the hell did they (Moriwaki? French racing team?) manage to install crash pads on this bike in exactly spot where they really save engine covers?
May be someone seen pictures without fairing of that one?

Re: can I get...........

I seriously doubt those are made of bent tubes. I seen similar product and it was simply metal rods bent to shape. For this you do not need tube bender, you need literally 3X2 inox pieces (spacers?joints?) made on any simple lathe + long piece of inox rod + gas burner+regular stick welder, but inver...

Re: Trying to find the best value Chain & Sprockets

I think best option actually will be DID chain and preferred Honda OEM sprockets. In years I tried loads of different chain kits (including Tsubaki chain - no thanks, it wore off bit too quickly)on different bikes and for me it all eventually boiled down to DID X or XW or at least O ring chains and ...

Re: Back with gang :)

I'll take photos tomorrow. I don't even paint it - all plastic scratched, crashbars always a bit "worn" - I fall a lot in offroad rides. Underneath it's perfect - I took it all apart, cleaned frame to metal, repainted all etc. What sold me on DR is vesatility and ability to tour even 2 up ...

Re: crashbars/protectors/etc.

You should've told me earlier  I still remember looks on faces of my riding buddies when I told them that we just passed speedcam at 245 kmph in Bretagne And of course after looong pause I told them camera was facing forward :biggrin Anyway, my Storm is in perfect order and I am not going to se...

Re: crashbars/protectors/etc.

Thank you. Yep, those Racing905 thingies look kinda bit wrong. Plust they use huge 1.5" pipe which make no sense to me in this variant of armor as mount points not that strong. But that's because full-scale Racing905 cage also have crossmember bolted to those side bars down-across front of engi...

Re: Back with gang :)

Yep, time flying :) I went a bit...ahm...mental modifying my DR800 and VTR was forgotten for a bit. Now it's getting back on road :) all repaired except minor tank dent..well - there was just right plastic to fix, I got same color whole side cheaply and simply replaced it. Repair worked, but I like ...

crashbars/protectors/etc.

Hello old and new colleagues-twiners. Since I was absent on forum for almost 2 years perhaps even more wisdom accumulated on forum so - here goes :) Question and advice sought - any input appreciated. I am looking for ways to protect my Fstorm from minor accidents, e.g. slow low sides etc. Last time...

Re: Back with gang :)

No, I am Ukrainian originally, was transferred to Belgium by company I work for 10 years ago and living here since. Oh, just to mention. I was not posting here for like 2 years - during that time I mostly rode my DR800 on and off road after I had small crash with VTR 1500 km from home and had to lim...
