Back with gang :)

Hello everybody who still remember me...hello to all who don't :) Just coming back to "old roots" - I still have my Firestorm but have not been doing much with it for a while spending most of time on big mods to my "beast" toy (Storm is beaty, this one beast) Suzuki DR800 and rid...

Touring? Yes Sir! Every year, 3700-4000 km in 6-7 days without motorways, all canyons and backroads. Never sleeped twice in same area :) Mods - CBR1000F clip-ons, 19 liter tank, seriously tricky Wilbers all-singing shock, Hyperpro fork springs with correct oil, Arrows cans, soft bag strapped to rear...

Here is scenario for you. Spend few quid on suspension on Storm, take it to Canyon de Verdon, keep it above 5000 rpm and try to compare it with Blade - you find that neither have advantage in REAL twisty road. And just when you realize that suspension and all engine power does not help other guy at ...

When I had Hornet I wore set of Rentals aluminium sprockets in less than 10 000 km. That was end of my experience with "lightweight" Rentals. As long as standard sprockets size is OK I always going for Honda ones and never ever regretted it. Specially since Honda front sprocket come with r...

I have Wilbers rear and Hyperpro springs-oil front for good 20 000 km now. in a word - BEATIFUL! Bike instantly felt TOTALLY different in both compfort and control. Exactly same happened in past to my Hornet when I swapped shock for Ohlins. E.g. stock shock does s...k big time on cheaper Hondas. I g...

on old tank petcock sits on flange. New tank have treaded piece of tube sticking out. You can not make plate, you will need to cut out section from new tank and weld in plate. I would hesitate to weld tank there...if it leaks there it will go bad. What you can do instead is use some other petcock. O...

To install new tank on old model you actually need new tank, new model petcock, new model petcock mount, filtering element with hose connector that goes onto tank , new model left fuel pipe and piece of suitable generic hose for extended vacuum line (original does not reach just by 5...

I'd keep storm but will trick it to unrecognizable level and buy new BMW GS800.
Or - I'd buy new Hornet 1000R and BMW GS800.

Oh, I need more than 10K please!

warning- long post

All below is IMO. Please do not take it wrong way - I am just speaking my mind. I'd say - do a checklist on what you need it for. For example - I use my VTR for long distance rides (never sleep in same town twice) with a bit of rubber burning in French canyons. Can blade do it? No. In last 2 months ...

It's not so easy to reactivate if they filed off hitting mechanism. Believe me, I know...I still can disassemble AK 40 seconds and assemble in 55 (that was my personal record). We had to learn them inside out. And I think it is shortest way to hell and jail too  Guys, if you need Ural of Dniepe...
