The main thing I noticed after fitting them is the idle speed increased slightly...
before the manual cct's the idle was 1300~1400rpm, after fitting its increased to 1400~1500rpm...
small difference but a difference non the less...
peace of mind is definately the best part though...

Re: Standard baffles-just drilled or out altogether?
Been a while since I logged on :S Still got the Firestorm (obviously :P)... I have drilled 8 8mm holes in each of the exhausts :) It sounds soooo much better now :) Its got a nice gentle rumble now, but might enlarge the holes a bit more yet... 8 8mm holes isnt that loud, can still hear the engine w...

Re: How to remove and refit CCT's on the firestorm
Thanks Chris Followed the procedure when I fitted my manual tensioners... Don't know whether it is just my bike but there seems a lot of safe adjustment between the cam chain rattling and the chain chirping :S I think it was 2~3 full turns :S I adjusted mine by backing them off until the cam chain r...

Re: CCT's (Bear with me :P)
Thanks for the replies, I have fitted a pair of manual CCT's from Debben Nice quality :) Just took a bit to adjust the front tensioner :P Big hands and small areas dont always work together ;) I adjusted the tensioners by backing them off until I heard a camchain rattle and then turned them in a bit...

CCT's (Bear with me :P)
Hello. I will be replacing my CCT's hopefully soon with Manual ones as I have got the tell-tale rattle of the cam chain... I dont want to simply fit stoppers in the one I have got as its not really a cure for the problem.... I will be fitting them myself, thats not the problem... What I want to ask,...

Yellow One At Hayle McDonalds? Tuesday Evening?
Just wondering if the bloke I was chatting too on Tuesday night is on this forum?
He was riding a Y reg Yellow Firestorm, with Viper cans and handlebar conversion.
My bike was the 33bhp restricted blue Firestorm.

I always learn the speed to rev's of my bikes...
Then if the speedo goes, I am OK
2k-20mph to 7k-70 is fun in second
