Greasers
Tattie, my personal preference would be chip-pan grease, but if you want the bearings to stay in place then I suggest you use 'extra hold' grease. Something like Brillcream or Dax might do the job!

Right so, where to start... basically, I was losing the front cylinder......

Alright Jay - yep, a jet kit is basically just new needles and bigger jets. There's also some washers and circlips for setting up the needles but they'll be all part of the same assembly once they've been installed. Anyone know if the standard head gasket on the Storm can be replaced with a thinner one to increase the compression ratio?

In the last 2 weeks my Storm has come down with similar symptoms, I've checked the cap and the lead and granted, the carbs need balancing but still, get this..... Two weeks ago, I filled the bike at the local garage, found out I had forgotten my phone/wallet etc so tore back to the house to get them...
