Sounds like the Maguires pack you can buy for car headlights that discolour with the sun. More of a problem on older cars or hot country's. Nice tip.

Aye, take the wheels out also and get rid of them there big o rings.

Personally I wouldn't bother. Not much chance of fishing it out. It'll burn up or blow it out of the exhaust, at worst trap on the exhaust valve seat but would also quickly burn up. Best of luck fishing.

You lads were spoilt we only has C15s, tiger cub, bantams. A Ton wasn't possible unless y dad bought y a Gold Star or a Bonnie. mind you a Ton in them days was bloody fast. Passed my test at 16 in 1968,wow I'm sure you all remember the feeling of freedom.
