Very funny about the wooden boots. I had an SV650S, I have to say it fit me better, but the HAWK is so powerful. Been riding it for two years now. My friend has GSXR1000, he put lowering kit on it for about $100 installed. I really would like after market part or one that is custom made for VTR1000 ...

I had to push start my 2002 Superhawk the other day after stopping in a drive trhu. I bought a new battery last year. I only have 8000 miles on it. What could be wrong with it. Something must be draining it. Its sill hot here in Okilahoma USA. So, the cold is not a factor. But when it does get cold ...

Looks like I have the same problem. Did you end up replacing the sender unit? If so how much $ and where did you find it? Its hard for me to beleive that the part could cost more than $50 US. That is what I found a used tank on Ebay for. I know this is an old thread but hopefully someone will see ...

Fuel Reserve Indicator "Tank sender unit"
:?: I need to fix my fuel indicator on my RED 2002 VTR1000SP2 996 Superhawk. I ran out of gas the other day and my wife had to bring me some fuel. Anyway, I think that I left the choke on while I was riding to cause the problem a couple of week ago. The no fuel light just flashes all the time. I am ...
