Wow you've actually got one!! Well done. Sounds good. The back-light should cost literally pence (if you can fit it yourself). And the toolkit shouldn't be too hard to sort out. If you can't get one now, you should find something eventually - You can probably find out exactly what's in the toolkit u...

OK cheers Jaglifter.

Why don't the manufacturers put fuel gauges on? Must cost a couple of pence too much :x

Cheers again for the reply (I can't delete the post now though so we're stuck with this thread forever :p

Centre-stand and fuel gauge

Sorry to ask such mundane questions :? , but: 1) Am I right in thinking that the 'Storm doesn't have a centre-stand? 2) Does it have a fuel gauge? (Can't remember from my test ride recently) PS: If anyone replies with a private email I'll delete this post to make more room on the board. Cheers all :D

OK we've all had our say. Now it's my turn: 1) Bike engines do rev higher than cars so that is probably a point to note. 2) Firestorm's engines are lower revving than most other bikes, so that negates the above argument, but I still wouldn't trust putting car oil in. Bikes need to be looked after an...

It must nearly flip over backwards now then (considering 'Storms are already wheelie-happy as standard) :eek2

1) REMOVE SPROCKETS 2) FIT 15/45T 3) FONE ambulance ! Sprockets and chains go together like oil and filter - if you just change one the other fouls the new bit! Mind you I am only talking about little bikes like 125 or cub 90! I only passed my test 2 years ago and I've had 3 bikes in that time so I...

Was That You??

Just wondering if that was anybody from this web forum that I saw today. They were just riding off on a gorgeous sounding and gorgeous looking red Firestorm from Sutton Motorcycles in Fazely, Tamworth, Staffs just before 16:00 on Thurs 30th Sept. PS: If no-one replies to this, I'll delete it after a...

Maybe I'm making a mistake here but I've never changed any sockets when changing a chain.

Of course - I should have guessed! I always buy a Haynes manual with every new bike (or car) that I buy. I'll certainly be buying one when I finally get my 'Storm :)

Re: You will have to...

Well, apart from one thing I always recommend to have, no matter what - torque wrench, so that you do not need to think to much how tight should be all those nuts and bolts.... Bluesman, totally agree, torque wrench is a good idea regardless of what bike you've got. I have just one question: How do...

Hi. I don't actually own a Firestorm so I'm probably going to get slated by the others for this post! but: 1) Head bearings in case it's been wheelied to death (it wheelies easy) 2) Chain and sprockets (all that torque will quickly take it's toll) 3) Tyres (especially rear) 4) If it's been repainted...
