Re: Ring of red M60 8th November 2015

Saw a few storms but didn't recognise any faces.
Was a good ride, weather mostly held off.
Let me know if you see yourself

Re: headstock stand reccomendations

Have a look on ebay for item number 400926866152
Came next day delivery and has been holding the front of my zxr750 up without issue whilst the stanchions are off for rechrome.
Plenty substantial.

Re: Track day weapon

Attended the track day at Oulton yesterday, met a couple of forum members too.
Had a great day, learned a lot and the bike performed well, needs some attention though, front pads are toast already and a fork seal is leaking.

Re: Track day weapon

Been looking on there and at cradleys for a few bits.

Fitted shorter dog bones to the rear linkage this morning to raise the back end, fitted a new braided clutch line and bled everything.
Also gave it a good wash.

Re: Track day weapon

Cheers lloydie, at least it already has the better rear linkage with the needle roller bearings. A new shock should help.
The front forks were rebuilt a few years back but with standard springs, the preload is wound right in which isn't Great.

Re: Track day weapon

Forgot to mention that it was also a non runner
Turned out to be the side stand switch circuit, the bullet connectors were all corroded.
She now runs crisply once warmed up.

Re: Track day weapon

From a short distance it does look very clean, however the fairings are scratched, the paint on the frame and swinging arm is badly scratched and all the alloy is furry. Would never sell it either, wanted one as an apprentice when they came out and always had an eye for them. Sent from my SM-G850F u...

Track day weapon

The thought of doing track days has been on my mind for most of the year, it's something I'd fancied doing for a long time but couldn't face the possibility of throwing the Vtr down the tarmac, it's too nice a bike for that. Anyway, I'd been looking for a track bike on ebay and the classifieds and c...
