Re: what push bike did you have as a kid?

They were racers but didn't have gears Then I got a cast off from the hard lad on our road a raleigh arena 5 speed, like this http://www.re-buy-cycle.co.uk/details.php?id=427 Cos I had ...

Avatar doesn't bother me in the slightest
You were rude first, I was rude back. And you are not a better person than me just because you've been a member for a longer time. Bike sheds stuff.

Bit of trivia quiz for you
Just for fun, I decided to count how many cars I pass on the way to work. What do you reckon?
6.5 miles from Reddish Stockport into Central Manchester. 8am set off
I was on the storm by the way, and rode as I normally do

To clean or not to clean?
HNY everyone All the best to forum members for 2011. It's been a bit of a chilly start eh? I covered the storm in ACF50 in December and I've not washed it since, despite daily use (other than the snow!). It's covered in that salty/dust muck all over but I think I might just leave it - is it 'protect...

Re: Nightmare of a day on the bike!
I am going crazy having to go to work on the train. When I'm on the bike I pity and look down on pedestrians, commuters, cages etc But when I have to walk/train, I feckin hate everyone. What a horrible start to the day - standing around waiting, squashing and squeezing with orrible strangers with vi...

My colleague went down a week later to do summat similar and the bloke was there again. He said to my mate 'At least you don't look like the bloke who came here last time. He looked ...

Re: Raising the rear
I weigh 10 3/4 stone, and have the rear shock set as standard. 180 and 120 tyres, still newish and have a nice profile. They are great for commuting now its cold and wet. They handled a warm cadwell track day too and I've no complaints - all the grip, it was the suspension and brakes that couldn't c...

Re: Raising the rear
Thanks benny
It's on dunlop roadsmarts, standard sizes and wheels from the manual
the storm does feel very nose up compared to my cbr, even the hornet I had. It gives that feeling of having to 'push' it up a turn.

Raising the rear
Howdo I've heard about raising the rear shock with a spacer to improve the storm's handling. I saw this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VTR1000-VTR-1000-FIRESTORM-SUPERHAWK-SHOCK-SPACER-/130455739815?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item1e5fc49da7#ht_660wt_1139 Would this do the job as advertised? Any ...

Re: Is this the last of the year?
OOh - could I have first ask on that benny (if it's black?). I need to protect the lass through winter.
I washed, polished, lubed, waxed and acf50'd her yesterday but a more protective belly pan would be the business!
