Re: cunningstunt mugshot

Yep all carp. The 2 bigger are common carp and the orange is a koi and yes they fight like they are trying to drag you in! The commons in the lake i fish are some right lumps and once hooked they make a full speed run to the centre of the lake, about 100yds, while heading for the bottom, which at ti...

Re: cunningstunt mugshot

That's a big goldfish mate, just under 16lb. Caught it twice last year which raised a few eyebrows as it usually graces the bank once every few years. The other 2 are 31lb 4oz and 29lb from the same lake.

Re: Firestorm takes a tumble

I can't fit them upside down mate as the hole is full size to take the adaptors uptil the last 3mm or so and then it goes to 6mm for the thread size only, so will only go one way but that means there's a 5mm gap between the base of the mirror mounting and the spacer :?: :?: I feel like getting the d...

Re: Firestorm takes a tumble

I am well pleased with the feel of the bike for the 100yd trip today, feels so much more balanced. The mirror spacers i got don't seem to fit mine properly though :?: Don't know if it's me fitting them wrong but they don't sit on the mounts properly and the extender nuts don't seem long enough eithe...

Re: Firestorm takes a tumble

I will certainly order the set but still weighing up whether to fit them myself or pay them but it then makes a £200 job £400 so i think i will be looking at the manual tonight. If i spend £400 on it then i might just as well send it to salvage. I think you are right about saving the low side, th...

Re: Firestorm takes a tumble

Went to FTR today Benny and got a quote of £92 + vat for front progressive and £79 + vat for rear spring and if i want it fitted and set up by them it will be £150 + vat. I'm tempted to do it myself but want it set up properly too

Re: Firestorm takes a tumble

I can't feel anything wrong with the steering mate. The levers never even hit the deck as the crash bung took all the impact. I've got new crash bungs on the bars too and they are not marked but will check and Wow, thanks for the link to the place in Bury Benny. I know where that is as i deliver to ...

Re: Firestorm takes a tumble

Thanks for the link. Just been out in the garage with some water and compound and all the scratches in the RH fairing have gone, cant even tell where they were, they were only from the indicator screw anyway and that come off its mounting and saved that from damage too so looks like i'll be keeping t...

Re: Firestorm takes a tumble

That sounds like a plan then! Sod the fairings , i can live with a few battle scars. You got a link to the site and what front springs would be good? i know the ones out of a ballpoint pen are probably stronger but will not fit

Re: Firestorm takes a tumble

I have 99% made my mind up to keep it and use the money to repair the main bits, ie: mirror, rear brake lever, fairing support frame and a new set of crash bungs but the rest of it can stop as it is unless i find a mint set of red fairing panels. I will be adding a set of progressive springs though ...
