Re: Bike written off, what now?
It still sorta is, just needs some rearsets and the left fairing fixing and its as was really! Been looking at it today, looking all sorry for itself in the garage, was giving me thoughts of chucking on a new usd front end and some Renthals, and enjoying the rest of the summer on it! But here she is ...

Re: Bike written off, what now?
That's exactly what I was thinking, gonna strip what I can off the bike and sell it as semi std!
I'm waiting to see what it'll cost for me to buy it back, should find out today!
What do we thinks the bike worth after pulling those parts? Do you think I'd get close to 1k for it?

Bike written off, what now?
So back in June I took the Vtr out for the first time in almost a year, due to buying a house and what not I sort of lost interest in biking for a while! Anywho on the way back from my 300 mile round trip, just 2 miles from home some useless woman decided not to look and drove into the side of me ...

Renthal Bar Risers?
So after getting a bit bored with the "sportsbike" position on the Storm I've gone and bought some Renthal low street bars, however I'm struggling to find a suitable set of risers, I'm in need of a rise of about an inch but I need them angled, which is where I'm stuck! So to you guys who've done the ...

Re: Torture, but whats it worth?
Looks really good mate, sorry to hear you're selling it. Good luck with the sale. I would imagine you would make more reinstating the standard parts and selling the goodies off. I had thought of that, but over the years Ive either sold or given away most of the std parts now, however if I did end ...

Torture, but whats it worth?
Dont really want to be posting this up but its looking a little bit more likely now, just bought a house and we could really use a bit of extra money to get things sorted etc! So, this is not an advertisement, im just looking for a rough price I could expect if I were to sell it! So its a 98' Storm ...

GoPro mounting places?
So went out yesterday to try out my new go pro I got for Xmas, turned out to be an epic fail! Lol Nailed the bike trying to look like a riding god for the sake of the video, and after all that turns out my SD card had shat itself about 15 minutes in! However I managed to rescue the file but it looks ...

Re: Sp owners, brake Q time
CBR929 is not a radial and I don't know what the fulcrum measurement is, so no idea as to the mechanical advantage. As for the Brembo, you must be speaking of an aftermarket (the RCS, which allows to switch from 18 to 20). FWIW, I went from a 19x18 Nissin to a 19x16 Brembo and prefer the 19x16. I ...

Re: Sp owners, brake Q time
I ran a Cbr929 M/C which was the 19mm unit, and hated it, was far far to stiff, I managed 5 laps of Donny before I couldnt feel my hand anymore and had to come in! lol I then tried a Gsxr750 17.5mm radial and that was way to mushy, that lasted about a week! Eventually I shelled out the £170 for a ...

Re: Frame covers
Got them today and they look smart! The fit on the other hand  crap Not the best is it! Lol As you can see from mine I had to cut sections away, cut the meeting points straight then used some sticky carbon vinyl to hide the joint! Word of advice when cutting it wear long ...

Carbon ones that recently cropped up on eBay! They certainly weren't just a buy and fit job! However after a bit of work they look mint! I'll grab a photo!

Re: Frame covers
I'd give them a proper trail fit first! Mine were a nightmare to fit, had to cut and reshape them in the end!
