your clutch is going to slip again.
like said before, use recomended semi synthetic and change the filter.
car oil does not contain the anti slip properties for wet clutches.
and fully synth is possible too slippery? for the storm.
hope this helps

Re: Lowering seat height and touring
welcome.
went to normandy on my storm last year, two up,loaded with luggage.
mainly motorways,fast roads,averaged about 100-110 a tank(light on) 99reg. riding normally(fast-ish).
if you stick to main routes its not a problem.

Re: Petrol Smell
sounds similar to my problem methinks.
could be the weather, just fumes escaping through the breather/s.??

Re: help! leaking petrol?
thanks tony,will try separating them.
the thing is the tank hasnt been brimmed for a while(petrol prices!!)
thats whats got me worried.
could just be the heat of the past few days though.
will keep my eye on it.(not literally!)
cheers mate.

Re: help! leaking petrol?
had a good look today when the heat died down, traced the pipe back across the other side of the bike,
and it does go to the tank.
would it be the tank breather blocked and its forcing petrol out this pipe?
