Getting there - all fluids changed, new battery and Reg/Rec, now getting towards valve clearance check and stopper mod, will balance carbs on way back up.

Maybe it's already been done? Disassemble first and see. After 6 years idle I am sure that there are other things that require attention first. Just bought a 2001 firestorm which has sat for 6 years and will re-commission over the winter. Beginning to get some parts and fluids together and will change fork oil - while I am at it and forks are out would replacement springs be sensible?? Have found a new old stock OEM cowl for sale in my bikes colour but doesnt seem to come with any fixings, just the plastic cowl and cant imagine these sort of slide on but may be wrong. Should the Honda cowl come with some fixings ? Thanks
