Hi Everyone. Just lately I have been smelling petrol from my storm everytime I switch off. Ive traced a leak to the fuel tap which drips petrol for a few minutes after switching off on to the rear exhaust downpipe (LOL) , not when the engine is running. It wasn't raining when I filled up but It's persisting down outside now so i'll try the drain idea tommorow and nip into Tesco on the way to the lincoln bike fest on sunday if its not sorted, thanks Benny. PS do you mean the carb drain screws?

Iv'e got see through lacquer colour on mine too as it lets me see the fastest RED colour underneath.

Advice neede please, I rode to work this morning and everything was fine.Stopped at tescos to fill up and rode last half a mile within the 30mph limit. I noticed the same on mine and have been told its mainly because the nearside can is much nearer the cylinder head!! and also that is the reason the carb main jets are different sizes,anyhow seems the norm on a storm.

I insert an allen key into the screw head, add an average size ring spanner to give more leverage to the allen key and push it till I've grunted twice.Simples. Of course the number of grunts is in direct proportion to the length of the ring spanner,ie the shorter the spanner the more grunts needed. ...

I've been on a couple of linc bike nights in the past , but mostly ride with the WOLDS BIKERS whos chairman has a Storm too.Check out their website as we have a good time every fortnight Monday evenings and once a month on an all day rideout. See you there perhaps ?
