Carbtune kit has restrictors that fit in the main vac lines, think they must be a 0.5 or 1mm bore, reduces the fluctuation quite a bit.

Ideal thanks stratman, I did see your post and am keeping that in mind for a permanent solution currently watching a few bits on eBay so hoping I can get a cheap replacement that way first. The bike is doing my head in with poor quality fixings at the minute. I agree 40 for the kit is a joke!

It doesn't rain it pours!!! The bolt that screws in to the carb has sheared, while I was putting everything back together, is it possible to bolt the plunger in place until I can get my hands on a new cable assembly?

Think tank is ok. When I took the carbs apart there was a few bits of dirt in there but nothing to make me worry about the tank. Hoping choke and carb balance is all it is.
