God I love my mole grips! Just mananaged to tweak the blighter out!

Cheers for all the hints chaps, might just bung it all back together with new sprockets and tootle to the bike shop and get them to just swap the chain, I was going to get them to rivet it anyway so mite save myself the hassles.

Tyre guy and ex storm owner recomended road Smarts. No complaints from me and have done consistantly well in magazine tests.

Hello all, Started my chain and sprocket swap last night and all is going fairly well. Was planning on swapping sprockets myself then taking the chain down to the local bike shop to get them to rivet it and then fit the chain by slipping it over the footpeg as stated in other threads. I've got that grab rail and it looks identical to ones I've seen with the cowl on, but try as I might I can't get it on either!

No I don't think so! I couldn't any one that stated broken or unbroken! I've borrowed a chain tool from a mate so its not going to be to bad in the end. Would have prefered a finished chain but hey Ho. Biggest problem is gettin the right wording "preriveted chain" doesn't give much on Google and ...

Couldn't see one but got a good deal with dkmotorcycles DiD recommended upgrade x ring chain and sprockets 95 quid delivered. Everywhere else wants over 130 for what seems to be the same spec!

Sorry for probable stupid newbie question but, you can get preriveted chains for the storm? I've been looking on all the usual stockists and not seen such a thing. Would save me a lot of hassle, where can I get one from?

Haha very good!

Yeah problem for me with bearings is I haven't got any suitable stands so going to be a garage job I think. Are there any easy methods of getting the wheels up without stands?
