Re: Manual CCT's for sale.
Saw a set on ebay from a guy in Cardiff, selling for £65 inc postage- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280667470685&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT so I bought them as unfortunately I could wait no longer as the trusty steed is rattlin' like a good-un. This is the third set thi...

Re: Adjustable MFW Footrests
M8 ... knee won't bend properly? It should have better articulation than the mark 1 knee. My pal got full movement in his but did have to go through a lot pain and physio to achieve it. Swagger, your mate is extraordinary, I have the most bend possible at 130 degrees, usual bend is 90 - 110 I spent ...

Adjustable MFW Footrests
After much deliberation I have decided to fit lower footrests. :oops: I had a replacement left knee(Titanium and very sparky! :wink: ) in Feb this year and have been trying to get back on a sports bike since. Unfortunately new knees don't bend like the original and I have managed to get 130degrees a...

Re: Firestorm Virgin arrived
That looks nasty, pity more manufacturers don't fit grease nipples to suspension pivots as standard, as per Kawasaki ZX6/9/12 , makes it dead easy. I usually fit grease nipples when I strip down the suspension. Not too difficult to drill and tap each pivot, not forgetting to drill through to the bea...

Re: Firestorm Virgin arrived
Almost forgot
I did the 'Stopper' mod as described, straightforward, no problems, also changed plugs, balanced the carbs and changed oil and filter. My missus was well chuffed at me not taking her shopping!(she doesn't drive, for which we may all be thankful
)

Re: Firestorm Virgin arrived
Fitted the VFR bars, they came from a 1997 750cc. They went straight on once I'd drilled new switchgear locating holes, I left a 5mm gap between switchgear and tank on each side and put two 3mm washers between fairing and the support brackets(where the mirrors fit) this allowed the fairing to 'flair...

Re: Firestorm Virgin arrived
Checked and of course you are correct! So......... bought a pair of 1998 VFR clip ons which I read on here somewhere fit nicely. Went for a ride last night, beats my old SV1000 into a cocked hat! and is almost on a par with my TL. Hopefully I will stay on this longer than the TL though!!!!!

Cheers for the welcome and advice, will be doing the "stopper" and carb balance this weekend. I intend to do a handlebar conversion next, does anyone know if a VFR750(1990 vintage) will fit cos I saw one on fleabay which could save me mucho dinero?

Firestorm Virgin arrived
Hi all, after much umming and ahhing I have succumbed to the good looks of the VTR1000. I've tried the rest, TL1000 (which put me in hospital!) SV1000 and VFR750s most lately a Triumph Thunderbird 900(I had a replacement knee op and couldn't get on a sports bike for a while!) I've read lots as you c...
