I really hope there's no further damage.... I was going to fit the scorpion cans whilst I had the exhausts off, but think I will wait till I have had the chance to have a paranoid listen to it running.

Thanks (again) .... there's a triumph dealership nearby in Leicester.... and a Honda dealership Notts or Derby way.. I will have a phone around. Also got a Maplins just down the road, so should be able to pick up some cheapish electronic calipers .

Managed to grab a bit more time this afternoon and thought I would try and set the valve timing before removing the sump.... Well got the cams lined up and tensioners tightened up .... went to spin it over by the alternator bolt and the engine turned over but the cams stayed still ... and cam chain ...
