Welcome aboard mate,good choice I did the regulator/rectifier mod on my storm after it started playing up,followed the info given on this site,easy to do,used a second hand R6 r/r that I got from ebay for £15.

just checked that link out and it does sound like my rectifier is about to fail so think I will give the rectifier upgrade a go,thanks to everyone for taking the time to reply to my post,much appreciated. Cheers thanks, Andy.

My bike's started with an electrical problem at the weekend,doesn't happen all the time,the needles on the speedo and rev counter fluctuate wildly up and down and stop working all together,then it might work ok for a bit,also when its playing up and using the indicators at that time the small indica...

just changed the bars for some vfr 800 ones,easy conversion and well chuffed with the results,the higher bars make the bike much more comfortable,but retain a sporty look and feel...deffo recommend it.

Cheers,thanks for the advice,been having a good look around the internet,quite a bit of info out there,as well as this site the super hawk site is a useful to.Think I'll get myself a vtr and just slightly increase the bar height so no messing with longer cables ect.Then come next winter if not happy...

test rode a VTR1000 today, absolutely loved the torquiness & power delivery of the engine, but unfortunately found the riding position a bit too sporty and suspension travel a bit limited for the state of the roasd where I live, potholes etc.. I didn't want to want to go to the extremes of a Val...
