Re: vibration??
Dean, Welcome along mate. These bikes can vibrate a lot especially when the carbs are out of sync. Also check the T P S Also there is a mod that you can do to the air filter called the Burnie Morgan mod. That helps as well. http://www.burniemorgan.com/firestorm/airfilter.html Also the chain tension ...

There should be 2 triangular shape rubber caps that sit in the corners of the airbox Mmmmm I'm not sure you want to dig deeper......like into the carbs I ...

Air filter mod?
Who's carried out the burnie morgan airfilter modication :?: If you have did you notice any difference. I've read what Burnie says, but would be interested to hear what your opinions are. I have heard some say doing this mod allows more dust to access the air filter. What's your opinions :?: http ...

Re: BSM's project.....UPDATE
mick in canada told me about cutting out a length of plastic from inside the airbox, it's supposed to smooth out the airflow within the airbox, once the strip of plastic is cut out, i will have to smooth over what is left behind. i saw a picture of it somewhere, if i can find it i'll post it. i ...

Re: Low speed riding - gearing
Something doesn't sound right on your bike to me. When you fitted back the standard filter did you notice if it was still there, or put back the channel that the standard air filter's up-stand sits in, it's attached to the air box lid (see first pic in link below). If that is missing you could be ...

Re: Low speed riding - gearing
I'd fit the + 2 rear sprocket, I think you'll find that will definitely help. I have the same set-up as Paul (Stratman) and I like him have no flat spot's either. Cutting the Airbox
Hello All,
Has anyone tried cutting the plastic strip down the centre of the airbox?
I came across it here (http://www.burniemorgan.com/firestorm/airfilter.html) and was wondering if it is worth doing or if there is any noticeable performance difference?
Cheers!
