Re: Project Varatrackerstorm or Firetrackerdero.

Could you try some aftermarket adjustable rear sets that are mounted in the most forward position.

Have a look at my post about SP1/2 headers and you might see what I meen.

Love the bike, is the fuel tank a secret or could I ask what it is from?

Cheers

Re: Can You Fit SP1/2 Headers To A VTR1000F

Dyno time here in Oz is outrageous! I tend to spend the money and time on my bike. I do have a fairly good butt Dyno and it is telling me that there is an improved response from the engine. No stumbles, just good linear torque right through to the redline and the front end is getting lighter under h...

Re: Can You Fit SP1/2 Headers To A VTR1000F

Well, Here is what I started with . https://imgur.com/gallery/mJdHj Bought these pipes and cans from a wrecker in Western Australia. As you can see the cans are rough so I set about adapting the cans that I had currently fitted to my bike . I was surprised when I ended up with this. https://imgur.co...

Mainly doing this just for the sake of it.

I can go back to the standard headers if there are issues.

I must be bored !

Can You Fit SP1/2 Headers To A VTR1000F

I bought a complete Micron Race system for the VTR, second hand and tatty. I only wanted the down pipes as they are 51mm where the link pipes to the cans would be. The system I have at the moment has 45 mm link pipes so there is a big gain with these pipes. They run seperate to each other unlike the...

Re: New Speeding Fines

Welcome to my world, Points offences similar to yours and huge fines. All the same B.S ! I have lost my license 3 times due to accumulated points over a 3 year period. My DMV rap sheet makes me look like a gangster and insurance is a joke because of it. Revenue is the go and here in Oz Mr Plod is ve...

Re: Kick starters

A decompression valve would be necessary if our bikes had a kick starter. I owned numerous kickers in the 70s & 80s and suffered some injuries as well, but have fond memories. I do appreciate an "electric Leg " these days though and am happy that the VTR has one ! Still, It would be the ultimate mod ...

Re: Tank Cover

I would love to turn the engine around 90 degrees just to sh1t off all the Guzzisti. I appreciate the feedback regarding tank bags. When I load her up for the trip I will post some pics. I have a set of saddlebags that I have had for years and a huge bag that goes on the back. I am looking forward t...

Tank Cover

Getting ready to go to a Moto Guzzi rally in a couple of weeks. Getting things ready and came across this Baglux tank cover second hand for $50 bucks. This is sure to confuse people now as its hard to tell what sort of bike it is now. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170827/9bb7857846859ab4256124f...
