Re: Urgh!!! Nice tyres!!

Well they improve the look of any of the red VTR's................... but black ones are best on the yellow wasp-like 'proper' VTR's.

Neat idea for battery monitoring

No connection to this company/individual. Just spotted it on eBay and thought a good idea so................... thought I'd pass on the info! Would work with any bike or car I guess.

Re: Forget to turn your indicators off?

I use the more expensive option here as you can really taylor this unit to suit your requirements with differing sound patterns, variable delays to acivation, ramped up audio, differing sounds for different functions (indicators, hazards) etc etc http://www.audicator.com/audicator.htm Got mine at a ...

Re: Feeling pretty pleased...then

I thought I was the only one to suffer those sort of weird accidents. Glad you were able to sort it OK though. It's the wind what puts the nails in tyres. How so? Well business/builders vans drop them and screws etc on the road. In calm weather they end up in the gutter almost immediately. In windy ...

Re: VTR cruiser

Whenever I see a posting like this I always scroll down through the comments first before opening the link. Usually, I find that the object is not as bad as most contributors would paint it out to be. In this case though I do find myself thinking it is not as good as, shall we say, it could be! Sirc...

Re: Mot Failed! Warped Discs..

I had Suzuki that warped its disc. Had it skimmed for a tenner. Thought that being thinner it'd be worse after a short while, but they took only a small amount off and it was fine for a couple of years before I sold the bike. It was almost as if the heat generated initially warped the disc but the h...

Re: Wheel touch up paint

Halfords (for a change) can do some stunning paint matches so I'd use them. Make sure you try and go when it's a quiet time as when they are rushed they will spend less time getting it right. I had to match up some paint to a Ruston and Hornsby stationary engine from 1934. A sort of dark green olive...

Cor, plenty of luck there..................... unfortunately just bad luck! Was it windy around the area lately? No, not you but the surrounding area. Reason I ask is that a tyre fitter chap once told me that he loved wiindy weather. Why? says I. He said that builders pick-up trucks and the like alw...
