Re: To baffle or not to baffle?

Baffle in on the Fireblade (though it has been cut down to half it's original size). The Micron serpent header with Akra race can sounds awesome without (pops and bangs on the over-run) but is painfully loud without a baffle.

Re: Flat Out

I "may" ahve seen over 176 on the Fireblade...though to be honest at that sort of speeds you tend to be scanning a mile up the road (sorry, airfield :) ) rather than looking at the speedo. Don't do it any more......mainly 'cos I have downgeared the bike and it tops out at about 158. Mental...

Yep - that's the one. all sorted now, better in fact given new tank etc - went in for upgrade to the front forks which has made a big difference too!. Yours will be the blue and yellow moriwaki track/race bike sitting next to mine for a week or two - very nice indeed, Roger pointed out all the tric...

Sorry we missed one another. I hung about till 11:15 at the petrol station, and then headed off with a mate of mine.

Hope you had a good and safe rideout.

Re: Sun 14th over to NE or NW to Morcambe..

Will take a look at Milnthorpe, but don't fancy the other route as did it not long ago for H4H ride and it was bloody awful, or maybe it was because everyone was fannying on and it took WAYYYYYYYY too long to get from Windermere to Cockermouth at 2 hrs!!!! It was only around 70 miles....so I think ...

Re: Sun 14th over to NE or NW to Morcambe..

Firstly, sack off the M6 and pick up the A6 at Penrith. It's one of the best roads on that route.
And stop in Kendal for chips (near the bridge, where the two lanes merge into one)...best fish'n'chips in Lancashire

Best time of the day IMHO.

Roads are quieter & Dibble will be on his way home.

I didn't go out until after 6PM yesterday....still managed a couple of hours, fast run over Shap. Awesome

Re: Don't own a VTR, well not a complete one anyway...

Am I missing something here? The SP1 is a fuel injected engine and you are using a CDI off a Firestorm (which runs carbs)???? How are you fuelling the motor? I was trying to use a firestorm cdi (£30 vs £100+) but just to make sure everything else is working I've borrowed the cdi from my brothers ...
