Re: DVLA What a fking class act.

Once again it seems that taxing agents are universal the world over. I just bought a used and neglected 2002 Honda VFR800. I paid an honest $1200. The tax lady looked at my paperwork, got a book out and told me the real value of that bike was $1700 and taxed me accordingly. I kept my mouth shut but ...

Re: Europe - In or Out?

Precisely Jim. The remain campaign are superior, they know what is best for the rest of us plebs and will enact their will for our own sake. Exactly the same as the EU. While I don't agree with some of Trump's ideas he's only resonating with a fed-up populace. His job is made easier by the constant...

Re: Europe - In or Out?

Funny how the Stay campaign have to resort to fear and insults. Want out, you're clearly illiterate and a racist and unable to decide for yourself... Tell me I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure we're a democracy (unlike the EU). What do you think will happen when the Government (the one the champagne-so...

Re: Going under...

This is the WORST thread of any forum ever. I kept scrolling, like someone watching a train wreck that just couldn't help themselves, and I cringed at each new pictures! I didn't think to take pictures of when my toe nail was off. I could hardly bear to look at it myself!

Re: Going under...

Ya know, reading this thread has produced a painful involuntary reaction in my groin area. I have literally torn my big toe nail off three times, once on the left and twice on the right. I think they come off easier now. The first time I was riding a POS Suzuki TS250 that went better than it handled...

. . .Cat proudly bought a mouse into the house and promptly lost it... cat is staring forlornly at curtain where 'Jerry' was last seen running up. It keeps happening in our house. Our big cat will bring a mouse in and just drop it. It scares the dog and sets the whole house in turmoil. The other ca...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

I didn't do anything to it. Since it wasn't raining, I backed it out, gave it a touch of choke and it banged right off. I took it out for a good ride down some twisty roads and ran over the posted limits on some roads that were not so twisty. I pulled in at a rest area on highway 69, parked and just...

Man! That's a pretty motor. I remember when mine was a pile of parts like that. It's looking really nice. It's good that you are getting it back on the road.

OK, it took me something like a minute to put the accent on that joke and then I hit the floor laughing. Thanks!

You mean you can't get way from the freaking Harley's even across the ocean? Depressing. You can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting a helmet-less, leather vest wearing, tough guy looking, dude slowly riding a chromed out Harley.

Re: Whats cheered you up today...?

I did another 80 mile ride this morning. It was mostly highways but still fun. The only issue I am having is a bit of an erratic idle. It usually hovers around 1500 but the needle bounces up a bit and back. The bike will die when not fully warm but can idle as high as 1800 but then drop back down to...

I did that yesterday. It has been raining here for a solid week. I had to get the big tractor out and eve it was having trouble cutting the tall stuff. Jungle indeed!

I took the VTR for a 80 mile romp this morning. Very fun as always.
