Lutonstorm, did you get the bike running better? is it fixed now and was it the choke, or did you find something else?

Re: FOOT PEGS / RESTS

Whilst I dont have personal experience to back this up, my main worry in changing from standatd pegs with rubber tops, to the [more sexy] machined alu ones you show, is vibration transmission to your feet. I raise this as I just fitted new rubbers to my standard pegs on my 10yr old Storm, and notice...

Re: Tango'd Storm

I dont normally go for the streetfighter look, but the thought and detail design on this bike is F**k'n amazing! so many one off solutions, and nothing done the easy or expected way, the overall look is great. I salute your vision and your hard work! PS Is the steering damper bolted into t...

Re: Hard Luggage

sorry for off topic question, but Stratman, who modified your seat? :hijacked:

I am looking at getting a 2nd seat modified for a bit more comfort, but dont want to loose the overall look of the bike. yours looks subtle, but also reprofilied. what did you get done, did it improve, who did it?

Re: Bellypan .........will it melt?

Seanp, I just phoned them, as as you said, they couldnt be more helpfull, Aluminium tape is in the post as I type this. He did say glassfibre shouldnt melt as long as exhaust is not in direct contact, but that all new product is being sent out with the tape included in the package. Thanks for the go...

Re: Unmarked bikes birmingham / warwick / stratford

yes, if it is bike night the only solution is to ride sensible on the popular roads, as they are out to get us on the busy nights. Oh and they are marking down all the roads as 50MPH limit, so it was a bit of a slow ride last night!! If I have a speed head on, I get up early [6am] at the weekend, an...

Unmarked bikes birmingham / warwick / stratford

On last nights run to the Waterman Pub, we came past an unmarked Yamaha FJR1300 in black. He had pulled a couple of bikers on the roundabout above the A46 outside Warwick.
Only clues looked to be Extra large mirrors and when the blue lights hidden in the tail lights come on

Bellypan .........will it melt?

As you will know from the Pimp my ride photos, I just fitted a Morawaki style belly pan, and having taken the bike for a quick thrash to the local bike night, I am worried that it is getting F***'n hot where it now covers the front exhaust header as it passes to the righthand side of the sump. I loo...

Re: Thumb Brake

yup, from the hydraulic point of view, I can see how that could work and stand corrected. From the practical side you would need to machine up the standard master cyl reservoir connection [on the rear cyl] to allow it to become a high pressure fitting rather than a low pressure fitting, but it could...

Re: France, many speed traps once away from the ports?

No one mentioned that, but I think it would get a bit hard to prove as they would have to stop you for something else first, and then if the bike is not moving, the satnav would not be warning!

I will ask the boys in our Paris office and get back to you if you want a definitive french answer

Re: Thumb Brake

Zakalwe is correct, 2 master cyl's cant be fitted to a single caliper, unless you get one with 2 seperate circuits [like the Honda linked brake systems use].

simple solution most of the stunt boys use is to fit a 2nd caliper which is then operated by the new master cyl fitted to the bars.
