True True, and any "upgrade" on a stock item, must therefor be better.and more suitable for the intended application...dosent "more" holes on the surface area mean more efficient cooling, which in turn allows more friction between pad and disc, therefor better braking?? that is ...

the VFR/RVF400 both use the same diameter discs and the same calipers as the firestorm as for the holes i have been told by a few people that the extra holes help to produce more friction on the pad resulting in greater stopping power, that is the theory behind wavy discs. as for 100g a disc i proba...

ok scrap that idea ive just found out the mounting points are different. i have seen these advertised as firestorm calipers but the design looks slightly different ro my 97 calipers. are they just the later version??

cheers for the info ben. after finding out today that ive gotta fork out for 2 new discs im a bit on the skint side. the plan was to get my fronts rebuilt by revolution before the spring but i also need some new rubber.
does roger sell all the bits i need if i fancy doing it myself???

while were on the subject do you think it will be better for me to change the springs and fork oil myself or to get revolution racing to do it. i dont mind doing the work myself tbh just wondering if theres any advantages to getting it proffesioanlly done

sorted now i hope :D was hard to get the carbtuneto stop fluctuating so much but i think i cracked it in the end. im really not looking forward to ptutting that blanking bolt back in though :?

thats a great idea pete. i got some spare t pieces with the balancer so ill just cut the hose in half then put the t piece in the middle. any idea what i can block the t piece up with though??

i can see this making my saturday a lot of fun :cry: think i might just completely take the tank off till i get it all set up as it was driving me nuts trying to keep it outta the way.
do you think itll be ok to balance the carbs with the airfilter box off as i can see it being a lot easier then

carb balancing help

any tips on how to take the hose off vacuum hose of the rear cylinder take off point and fit the gauge hose from the carb balancer on. i had a quick go today but cant even get my fingers to it. any help appreciated
