Looks like Tony has rescued the head :D So with the rebuild looming.......... I've read a lot on here about tensioners and I was going to just plonk in some manual tensioners in but before I do. Does anyone have a suggested type? There seem to be a few on ebay and all look more or less the same also...

There wasn't much stud left in the end after welding a nut on failed, a piece of plate was used with a hole drilled and a mig weld, then tapped gently with a hammer. A small weldors gas axe came in handy to give it some heat a few times to let the contracting move things a little. It was jammed well...

Bolt is out after welding a nut and it snapping we then heated gently with a small gas axe to try and break the seal with expansion and welded a plate with a hole drilled in it to the remaining stump. Thought it was going to snap again, but flush this time but a tappy tappy (gently) and it came out ...

Try getting a hinge pin out of a dhollandia tuckaway tail lift! I Hate Steel in ali. I normally prefer lager bolts and a gas axe but I am sure if am gentle she will come out.

I ve had to remove a few broken bolts in my time. Dont want to jinx myself but welding a new bolt head on usual works so hopefully will get it out. watch this space! On another note I locked my keyes in my car at the weekend so had a look on the MKIV forums for the best soloutions to the problem aft...

i looked up courier earlier today and will get it off in either tomororrow or Wednesday.depending on when they collect but will confirm tomorrow. Just need to gigure out how to courier proof it!
