Re: Hello!......and light bulb!!

Check wiring and connections (clean and corrosion free) and switch gear. Esp from your first post with odd things happening with blowing bulbs.

A multimter would be a handy tool, and no getting round it but likely fairing off to investigate.

Re: Hello!......and light bulb!!

If you've got ickle dextrous hands or can borrow a small child then just about possible to change the bulb and replace the clip retainer in situ. Otherwise just put a towel on the front mudguard undo the fairing fasteners, mirrors and the orrible fiddly hidden plastic panel retainers (personally I w...

Re: CCT

I have a question. all chain and belt tensioners have an elasticity to oscillate and pick up wear. in the manual we adjust it at intervals; They can be adjusted at the same time as when the valve clearances need measuring - but I've not had to look at mine in over 35,000 miles. Have a read through ...

Re: CCT

I have heard that since 2004 Honda has made some improvements and many owners of older ones have replaced them. yes Honda puts coloured dots on them that people interpret in many different ways as folk read the future using tea leaves. And yes Honda issued a new part no. on later auto CCTs but they...

Auto CCT failure still happens with Varaderos https://honda-varadero-uk.org/forum/index.php?topic=8632.0 Properly fitting manual tensioners will ensure it can never happen. https://p198.p4.n0.cdn.getcloudapp.com/items/E0u4WlA0/CCT-gamble.jpg?v=23437a680a55780569fa6ca7f2ad8e8c https://p198.p4.n0.cdn....

Yes best not scrimp on the exhaust gaskets https://p198.p4.n0.cdn.getcloudapp.com/items/6quxO8ZX/vtr-exhaust-parts.jpg?v=dfbe0e29977878277445ca9031adc70d Remember to remove the old crush copper header/manifold seal - it gets flattened & sooted up so its camouflaged in the head, and will need pic...

Re: Which fork oil is best?

I'm going to change my fork oil and I'm going to use a SAE 10w oil. Is it just a case of purely replacing the oil or is there anything else I should be considering? It's for road use only. Have a read through Standard Fork Upgrade Service Guide in the workshop knowledgebase https://www.vtr1000.org/...

Re: Say hello to my little friend.

Careful with the aftermarket fuel hose as it's quite a tight curve where it bends to connect onto the tank - the OEM hoses come precurved. I had a suprise one day when a hose had hardened and cracked leaking fuel over bike and me! so it was back to OEM hose. Check that the 'oil' leaking down sidesta...

Crimewatch - Help needed to ID biker

Can you help identify this man? Police have released a CCTV image of a leather clad bald man wearing a balaclava, who’d they like to identify following an incident in a Kawasaki dealership in Essex. The incident happened at about 1am on Saturday, 10 October. https://p198.p4.n0.cdn.getcloudapp.com/it...

Re: Wheel rotation direction.

this is not Firestorm related, its for a project I am doing on my KTM to fit a 17" front wheel for a more super moto feel. I have a left over Aprlilla cast front wheel from my firestorm front end conversion, and plan to modify that with new bearings / spacers / abs rings to fit the KTM. The AP...
