Ha Ha, I laughed when I read that last line. Fabio, Like you have been advised, Sit Back, Relax and enjoy the Yellow one for a while. The Blue one is special mate . If you sell it you will regret it. Cheers from Oz, go for a ride on yeller, always works for me .     :b...

Re: Rear shock absorber
I am in Australia, I got a shock from a bloke in the States named Daugherty. He trades as DMr ( Daugherty Motor Racing, his name is Jamie )!and does a VTR specific shock made from a modded CBR600f4i unit, it is adjustable for everything including length. Jamie owns a VTR himself so had a good insigh...

Re: Your top speed
Here in Oz the Freeway speed limit is 110 Klms per hour. Just where you don't want it to be on a standard geared VTR. Most of the time I sit on a bit over when in 6th gear as it feels better in 5th gear at 110 . The VTR is plenty fast enough if you want it to be , 220 to 250' it's still comfortable ...

Re: a bit of spondoness.
Do you have a picture of the needle jet ? I have a spare set of carbs, they are actually the originals that I replaced with a set that I built up with a Dyno jet kit. I will probably swap over the Dyno jet parts and all should be good as these carbs only had 11000 Klms on them from memory. The reaso...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Hey Fabio, I have been following your trials and tribulations with the Blue one and have empathy . I once owned a Suzuki GT750 Water Bottle with a 3 into 1 expansion chamber and it was a beast. It developed an over heating problem so I replaced the radiator cap, still had the problem, then I set on ...

Re: Fuel In Remote Vac Line
Thanks for all the replies,
Plenty to think about.
Definitely a backfire, and only intermittently on starting.
Very rarely get a carb fart .
No biggy, thought it might be a common occurrence or that someone else had had the same happen to them.

Re: Fuel In Remote Vac Line
Thanks for the reply. I get the concept however, Why is there no fuel in the rear vac line. Both lines rest in the valley between the cylinders at the same height. Granted the pick up points are at different heights though. Any thoughts on the odd backfire On starting, everything on the bike perform...

Fuel In Remote Vac Line
Recently did the valves and refreshed the remote vacuuam lines.
When Inremoved the front line there was a small amount of fuel in it.
The rear one had none.
Occasionally when I start my bike it backfires, could this be linked to fuel in the remote vac line ?
Any suggestions ?

Rode her after the valve adjustments etc .
Noise wise the top end is much better now .
Butt Dyno tells me things are better as well.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Finished the valves , had to adjust 3 and the front chain needed a tweak. Both exhaust valves on front cylinder , 1 inlet valve rear cylinder. Now putting back together. Rocker covers back on, http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/b434/kenmoore5321/329C4F48-9E17-4020-8788-1F5B7D81E33B_zpscvktwcra.jpg ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Tony,
Work on a couple of other bikes, mow the lawn, go for a couple of surfs, take the missus out .
Double demerit points here in Oz at the moment so best not to ride.
Will maybe mod airbox, grease a few linkages and tidy up some wiring on the VTR.
